Truma is taking another step towards becoming a System Supplier: Its new RVcore 12V distribution unit adds a component for integrating the on-board electronics to the tried-and-tested Truma iNet X System. The result is a consistent, perfectly coordinated entire system comprising heaters, air conditioning systems and on-board electronics – all operated from a single panel.
Centralised control unit – less effort for original equipment manufacturers
The Truma iNet X System has been successfully established on the market for four years and has already been installed in over 100,000 recreational vehicles. The Truma iNet X Pro Panel not only allows you to control Truma products such as heaters, air conditioners and the Truma LevelControl, but also to integrate on-board electronics such as lights, water pumps and battery status.
Previously, this needed an external distribution unit, which often required additional panels and components. With the RVcore 12V, Truma now offers its own solution that pairs perfectly with the Truma iNet X Pro Panel. Vehicle manufacturers benefit from a much simpler installation and connection process, and there are also ways to customise the system.
More functions – more comfort
The RVcore 12V is a pure OEM product and can be flexibly adapted to the requirements of different vehicle series. In addition to controlling connected components, it offers additional functions such as:
- Integrated current measurement: Solar power as well as charging and discharging currents can be clearly displayed on the panel.
- SOS fuse: In the event of a system failure, important power circuits can be easily reactivated – even by end customers. This means that essential consumers such as heaters can still be used.
- Customisable: Depending on customer requirements, functions such as ‘Coming home’ automations can be implemented via software.
Ready today, designed for tomorrow
The new distribution unit is already being used by the first European vehicle manufacturers in combination with the Truma iNet X Pro Panel.
In the UK market Wildax will be the first UK customer with the complete system, which will be first shown to the public at the upcoming October NEC Motorhome and Caravan show.
With the introduction of the RVcore 12V, Truma continues to expand its global product offering to OEMs: Truma connects what belongs together.
Jan-Peter Albers, Director Business Center Vehicle Systems: “With over 75 years of experience in heating and air conditioning technology, we at Truma continue to advance centralised control units and networking systems. Thanks to our new corporate structure, we can now focus even more strongly on this area – delivering greater benefits for both OEMs and end customers.”
