Putzbrunn, 14th July 2026 – the trend towards motor homes and campervans with diesel heaters means that more and more travellers only need a compact gas supply for cooking. The MonoControl CS R is Truma’s first gas pressure regulator with integrated crash sensor specifically for the CAMPINGAZ R 904 and R 907 cylinders. This crash sensor meets all legal requirements so that the gas cylinder can remain open while the vehicle is in motion. The MonoControl CS R will be available from retailers at the beginning of 2027.
If you are on the road in a recreational vehicle, you don’t want to forego comfort. With the MonoControl CS R, there’s no need to open and close the gas cylinder before and after driving. The gas supply remains available permanently – a particular advantage of the tried-and-tested crash sensor technology for hard-to-reach or narrow gas lockers.
“Nowadays, more and more campers are travelling in vehicles that have a diesel heater – like the Combi diesel – and therefore only need a compact gas supply. The MonoControl CS R also offers users of CAMPINGAZ cylinders the convenience and safety of our tried-and-tested CS controller technology for the very first time. This allows travellers to use their gas supply while the vehicle is in motion and benefit from a high level of safety,” says Craig Hawthorne, Product Manager Thermosystems & Gas.
Greater safety when travelling
The integrated crash sensor is the focal point. It automatically cuts off the gas supply in the event of an accident. This prevents uncontrolled gas leaks and significantly increases safety in the vehicle.
Extremely practical: the refrigerator, stove or other connected liquid gas devices can remain ready for operation even on longer journeys without having to open or close the gas cylinder before each trip.
If the crash sensor gets unintentionally triggered by exceptionally strong vibrations while vehicle is in motion, this can be detected immediately: the yellow reset knob is visible. By simply pressing it in, the system gets reactivated in just a few seconds.
Easy retrofitting and high compatibility
The MonoControl CS R is connected directly to the CAMPINGAZ R 904 and R 907 cylinders and can be easily integrated into a variety of recreational vehicles. This makes the solution particularly suitable for motor homes and campervans with diesel heaters, where a compact gas supply is sufficient for cooking or for individual liquid gas devices.
The MonoControl CS R expands Truma’s product portfolio to include a safe and convenient solution for modern vehicle concepts, enabling passengers to gain more independence and enjoy greater comfort on every drive.

About the company:
Almost every camper in Europe knows Truma. Since the company was founded by Philipp Kreis in 1949, Truma Gerätetechnik, which is part of the Truma Group, has offered accessories for caravans and motorhomes. In 75 years, Truma has developed into a successful international company that is still family-owned. It all started with a gas lamp, which the company founder assembled himself in his living room. These days, Truma is a system supplier of heaters, air conditioning systems, hot water generators, manoeuvring assistants and gas supply for caravans. With the iNet X System, digital networking is also increasingly finding its way into everyday camping – and the search for innovative ideas continues every day. It also helps that many of our employees are also passionate campers: they not only develop products, they use them too. It is precisely this passion and identification that makes Truma successful.
Truma Group develops and manufactures at the Putzbrunn site near Munich and has subsidiaries in the UK, Italy, Sweden, USA, China and Australia. Almost 1000 employees worldwide do their best every day to offer customers reliable premium products and excellent service.
