After months of planning, scouting out the perfect location and many meetings to decide how to best serve our customers in our new home, Truma will have a new North American headquarters in Elkhart, Indiana AKA – The RV Capital of the US! Look for our new building during the Elkhart RV Open House in September. This is an exciting time for our 70-year-old German based company as we are expanding and adding new and innovative products to our line of expertly-engineered RV comfort appliances.
While we have been serving the North American market for a few years, our long-standing European roots have American inspiration.
Our Namesake
Truma was named after former American President, Harry S. Truman. Truman played a role in helping post-war Germany rebuild by signing the Economic Assistance Act. As the country recovered, people like Truma founder, Phillip Kreis were able to restart their lives and follow their dreams. Kreis had many patented, successful inventions related to heating and cooling before many of the people who use these products today were even born.
Now, looking to the future our North American headquarters is being built to better serve our customers by custom building our new home to include a showroom, warehouse space, two service bays, a climate chamber to test RVs and installed appliances and a two-story office space.
