RVing gives us the opportunity to make memories with friends and family. Whether it’s boondocking out west, family camping at a state park, or going into New England to see the fall colors, the chance to experience something different is always there. In our continued efforts to get to know our Truma Brand Ambassadors, we asked them “What has been your most memorable trip?”
@AirstreamVagabond
Every year is a new adventure, and we have stories and memories from it all. One of the best years though, was our first year on the road. We made plenty of mistakes along the way, but it was so new and the entire world wasn’t necessarily out doing the remote work thing yet. Roads were mostly clear, and it was always easy to find a spot at an RV park or on public lands. That first year was the year we asked ourselves, what do you want to see? And to be honest, we didn’t really have a clear idea. We saw a picture online of Banff National Park in Canada and ended up setting out to see Banff. If you are not familiar with Banff, it’s Canada’s most-visited national park and is in the Canadian Rockie Mountains. Glacier blue waters, hiking trails everywhere, we saw our first glacier, wild bear, elk, and beautiful mountain ranges on that trip. Although we had been to Canada in the past, that was our first ime spending 3 months out of the country. We just explored to see what the world had to offer.

This is not easy to answer, but it was probably our first trip when we rented an RV. It was full of ups and downs as we were learning so much, but we also took that RV to a place called Wind Rock. We rented offroad vehicles called side by sides. They have miles of offroad trails and when you are done exploring for the day, the rental company lets you bring the off-roader back to your campsite each night. Next morning, it’s quick and easy to hop on it and take right back out the next day. That was the trip that had us hooked on the idea of purchasing an RV for ourselves and exploring the country.

Our most memorable camping trip was a 5-day drive from Las Vegas through Death Valley, the Alabama Hills to the California Coast. We camped, did some hiking, and enjoyed amazing views of Death Valley. We ended the trip at Thornhill Broome Beach in California where we enjoyed a gorgeous sunset of the Pacific Coast.

Nothing beats camping with close friends and family. My most memorable trip would be wandering the lakefront trails of Ike Kinswa State Park WA at sunset, there were 8 of us, tossing rocks into the lake, playing on the scary rope swing, climbing trees, and solving the problems of the world. Sometimes it’s the simple moments that are the most memorable.
