Boiler Gas, Boiler Gas / Elektro

Hot water so that you can enjoy a long shower

In the Truma boiler (gas), a powerful gas burner heats the water in your caravan or motor home quickly – completely without a power supply. The gas boiler has excellent insulation to ensure that almost no heat is lost. If the water temperature drops, the electronics reignite automatically. Set the desired water temperature anywhere between 30°C and 70°C with the control unit.

More details about the Truma gas boiler and Truma gas/electric boiler

In the Truma boiler (gas), a powerful gas burner heats the water in your caravan or motor home quickly – completely without a power supply. The gas boiler has excellent insulation to ensure that almost no heat is lost. If the water temperature drops, the electronics reignite automatically. Set the desired water temperature anywhere between 50°C and 70°C with the control unit.

The gas/electric boiler also has an electric heating element that heats the water even faster. It reduces heating up time from 30 minutes in gas mode to 15 minutes in mixed mode – for example, when heating water from 15°C to 70°C.

When the water is hot, you can take a long shower with ample time to soap yourself. When the Truma gas boiler is running, water is continuously reheated while you are showering. This means that a second person can shower immediately afterwards.

  • Insulation prevents heat loss
  • Additional electric heating element (optional)
  • High pressure resistance of the Truma gas water heater (all submersible and pressure pumps up to 2.8 bar can be used)
  • Safety ensured with electronic control components and overpressure valve
  • Stainless steel container

FAQ

  • May Truma water systems be installed in mobile homes?

The intended use can be found in the respective operating instructions for the appliance. In principle, our appliances are approved for installation in caravans (vehicle class O) and mobile homes (vehicle class M1).  If vehicle class O is available for the mobile home and the installations comply with the applicable standards (e.g. gas installation in accordance with DIN EN 1949), a Truma appliance can be installed. Usually, mobile homes do not have road approval, so new installations of our units are not permitted.

  • Does the Truma Boiler gas / Truma Boiler gas/electric need to be sterilised and descaled?

The Boiler should be sterilised and descaled regularly. All cleaning products from camping specialists are suitable for cleaning, sterilisation and care. Commercial descaling products, vinegar essence or citric acid can be used to descale the Boiler. Fill the water container with cleaning or descaling products in the correct mixing ratio via the water inlet and allow them to work. Then rinse the water container thoroughly with clean water. To prevent colonisation by microorganisms, the Boiler must be heated up to 70 °C at regular distances.

  • How do I empty the Truma gas boiler / Truma gas/electric boiler properly?

If the caravan is not being used during the frost period, the Truma boiler must be drained as follows:

    • Disconnect the power to the water pump (main switch or pump switch).
    • Open hot water taps in the bathroom and kitchen.
      Open drain valve: lever vertical.
    • The boiler will now be drained directly to the outside via the drain valve. Make sure that all the water is drained (10 litres).

Remember that we do not accept warranty claims for frost damage.
