Putzbrunn / Melbourne / Shanghai / Hongkong / Shenzhen, 30 April 2026
As of 30 April 2026, the Truma Group has acquired the remaining shares in the Leisure-Tec Group (LT Group). LT Group is now a wholly owned subsidiary of the Truma Group, underscoring the growing strategic importance of the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region and further strengthening the Group’s global positioning.
Since its establishment as a joint venture in 2018, the LT Group has developed into a market-focused organization with a strong regional presence, particularly in Australia and China. It brings deep expertise in camping, 4WD/overlanding and outdoor markets, combined with strong customer orientation and technical product knowledge. On this basis, the clarified ownership structure now enables simplified governance and decision-making processes, providing an optimal foundation for collaboration within the Truma Group.
The objective is to further develop the LT Group consistently as the APAC growth platform within the Truma Group and to sustainably strengthen the Group’s presence in key markets such as Australia, China and the wider region. This also includes close cooperation between the LT Group and Truma China.
In this context, Marcel Janssen will assume the additional role of President APAC alongside his position as Co-CEO of the Truma Group. The roles are designed to be complementary: while the Co-CEO role focuses on group-wide stability and governance, the President APAC role concentrates on strategic leadership and the long-term development of the region. Operational responsibility in APAC remains with an established regional management team.
“The full integration of the Leisure-Tec Group is a logical step in the continued development of our APAC strategy. Together, LT Group and Truma China form a strong platform for sustainably unlocking market and growth potential in the region.” Marcel Janssen, Co-CEO Truma Group and President APAC
Paul Widdis will continue to lead the LT Group as CEO Leisure-Tec Australia and Executive Vice President Sales APAC, thus ensuring continuity and stability in the organization’s ongoing development together with the entire management team. Simon Liu will continue to be responsible for Truma China as General Manager.
The Truma Group would like to expressly thank the former joint venture partners Andreas Bischof, Nigel Milbank, Tat Li and Theo Wähning for their entrepreneurial commitment and their pivotal role in building the LT Group.
