With shorter days and lower temperatures, winter might be the most divisive season on an RVer’s calendar. There seem to be three perspectives concerning year-round camping: those who enjoy cold-weather camping, those who move on to warmer climates, and those who hunker down at home until spring.
No matter where you fall, we have resources that will help you make the most out of the Truma systems on your RV.
For Everyone:
No matter where your travels take you, you will want to keep an eye on the forecast. We highly recommend winterizing your RV if you expect to encounter freezing temperatures.

For the Cold-weather Camper:
In the northern United States, winter is all about snow. If you are in the market for an RV that will accompany you on your next skiing or snowboarding adventure, keep an eye out for a Truma Cold Weather Certified model.
We work with our RV manufacturers to build RVs that can truly be used year-round.

For the Snowbird:
For our friends in the southern United States, winter is a welcome reprieve from the high heat and humidity of the summer months. It is finally cool enough to spend time outdoors without roasting! Even in these milder climates, it is still possible to experience temperatures below freezing. These “surprise” freezes can do serious damage to your water systems if you aren’t prepared.
The Truma AquaGo Electric Antifreeze kit is great to have on hand in case of a cold snap. It can be easily installed behind the Easy Drain Lever to protect your AquaGo from frost in temperatures as low as -4 °F (-20 °C).
For the Hibernator:
The end of your camping season is the perfect time to tackle routine maintenance like decalcifying your Truma AquaGo. Cleaning the system annually will extend the life of your water heater. Plus, performing the cleaning process as part of your end-of-season checklist gets you back on the road that much faster when that first nice weekend of spring rolls around!
