Data protection terms

These data protection terms apply to the website operated by Truma Gerätetechnik GmbH & Co. KG (“Truma”). This is the body that is responsible within the meaning of the German Data Protection Act.

This statement concerning data protection applies only to this webpage and its related subpages. It does not cover websites of third parties that have been linked by Truma.

1. Collection and use of data

We only collect personal data on our website where this is necessary for the desired purpose on your part and/or if you disclose it voluntarily. In particular, personal data is currently collected for the purpose of contacting you at your request, processing online applications and mobile customer service requests or sending you the newsletter. In each case, data is also used for a specific purpose.

Separate data protection terms pertaining to the Tuma dealer programme are available in the dealer area. In the case of certain provisions, the ones detailed there take precedence over these data protection terms.

Please note that there are a number of mandatory fields that need to be completed for the purpose of processing your enquiry. These are marked with an asterisk. If you decide to complete the other fields, this information will be used for statistical purposes and to improve our offer.

2. Use, saving and deletion of cookies

Cookies are small text files that are saved onto the Internet user’s hard drive. They are used to control the Internet connection while you are visiting our webpages. These cookies also provide us with information so that we can optimise our webpages in accordance with your needs. We only ever use a form of cookies known as session cookies. These only remain on your computer until you close your web browser. After that, they are deleted automatically. You can configure your web browser settings to prevent cookies from being saved onto your computer.

3. Data security

The data that we collect from you via forms on HTML pages is transferred from your computer to our server in an encrypted format (SSL - Secure Socket Layer).

4. Data protection rights

At any time, you are entitled to request information concerning the personal data stored about you, or to ask for it to be modified or deleted as well as to revoke your consent to the future processing and use of your data.

5. Data forwarding

Truma will not forward your data to third parties unless it is obliged to do so by law (e.g. enquiry from investigating authorities) or is entitled to do so (e.g. when processing order data).

6. Deletion and blocking of data

Your data will be deleted once processing of your request is complete. If the data has to be retained by law, the data will instead be blocked to prevent further use.
