Seven action-packed days from Bristol to the Bosphorus

21 countries in 21 days

Bailey of Bristol have set out on their journey travelling 5,000 miles through 21 countries in 21 days from Bristol to the Bosphorus and back again on their annual test of vehicle integrity. Truma were invited along to face the challenge highlighting the innovation and steadfast caravan and motorhome systems made by two strong brands Powrtouch and Truma. With Alu-Tech designed shells from Bailey and our cooling, heating and moving systems the trip has been a massive success in the face of a number of uncertainties.

It’s in Truma’s company values for staff to not only use motorhomes and caravans during the warm summer months, but to get stuck in on the more adventurous & exhilarating trips which put these products to the test.

Kitted out with the Truma Combi 4 E, Truma Aventa roof-mounted air conditioning, 100-Watt Solar panel, XT Mover and the Powrtouch Evolution mover the whole team felt rest assured to take on the challenge to combat any weather and terrain.

Commenting on the trip, Martin Fitzpatrick shared his thoughts "I feel thrilled to have been a part of this journey and offered the chance to excite the team with our air conditioning system and both of our brands of motor mover. For me, it was seven countries in seven days testing our systems to the other extreme in searing heat and undulating terrain".

Last year Truma was fortunate enough to join Bailey of Bristol on their Arctic Adventure and were proud to see our Truma Combi heating system cope easily with the sub-zero temperatures. This time, setting the Aventa air conditioning to come on remotely from the Truma App using the iNet System was met with high praise after a long day of exploring towns and soaking up the local culture with the sun on their backs.

Travelling to warmer climates on this year’s Bristol to the Bosphorus challenge meant swapping the duffle coat for the Bermuda shorts when we joined the team on the second leg of the trip travelling from Dubrovnik to Istanbul. The trip showcases caravanning and motorhoming on another level of adventure, anything is possible with the right gear!
