Truma Foundation donates EUR 100,000
Support for Nachbarschaftshilfe Vaterstetten neighbourhood care17.10.2017
The Truma Foundation Renate Schimmer-Wottrich is donating EUR 100,000 to Nachbarschaftshilfe Vaterstetten e.V., a neighbourhood charity. The money will go towards a new day care centre in Baldham, which will look after elderly people and adults in need of care during the day. The non-profit association is currently converting and renovating a former vocational college for carers in Baldham. By the beginning of 2018, once it has been modernised, the 320 m² building will have space for up to 20 day care users in bright, comfortable premises.
“We have a close connection to Nachbarschaftshilfe Vaterstetten because a woman who works at Truma is active on their management board,” says Robert Strauß, Commercial Managing Director of Truma and a board member of the Truma Foundation. “Facilities like the one in Baldham are extremely important because they care for adults who need help during the day and give the family members who look after them a break. The families of some of our local employees also benefit from the service.”
The Truma Foundation Renate Schimmer-Wottrich supports social and charitable organisations and projects in the Munich area. It has a particular focus on helping children, young adults and families.
