Christmas is a time of joy and love, which is why Truma has renounced on presents for customers and business partners for a number of years now and has donated money to a charitable organisation instead. This year, Truma and the Truma Foundation Renate Schimmer-Wottrich are donating € 26,000 to Landesverband Bayern für körper- und mehrfachbehinderte Menschen e.V. (Bavarian State Association for Physically and Multiple Disabled People). The money will benefit the Wartaweil residential field centre in Herrsching am Ammersee, the only fully accessible field centre in Germany.

Donation for building extension
Around 33,000 children and young people stay at Wartaweil every year, 70% of whom have disabilities or severe disabilities. The group rooms do not provide enough space, especially for groups of children with several wheelchairs. Truma’s donation will help to finance an extension with two new group rooms and urgently needed renovations.

“The Wartaweil field centre promotes inclusion and gives children and young people with and without disabilities the chance to enjoy a few care-free days there. That’s why it’s important for us to support this flagship project,” explains Truma Partner Renate Schimmer-Wottrich.
