Once again, Truma will not be buying Christmas presents for customers or business partners this year. Instead, we will be donating 10,000 euros to hpkj e.V. in Munich, a non-profit association that runs a number of programmes for young people, including a youth centre and shared sheltered accommodation for severely traumatised children, mobile child support and education services, and a migration advisory service.

Truma’s donation will help finance hpkj’s advisory service. The project supports families from refugee and migration backgrounds on all matters concerning living and working in Germany. The aim is to offer people practical support and promote linguistic, professional and social integration.

The cheque was presented during hpkj’s 30th anniversary celebrations in October 2018. “With our Christmas donation we want to support trusted local institutions that we have been working with for years,” says Truma owner Renate Schimmer-Wottrich. “Doing something for marginalised families and children less fortunate than us – in particular, supporting the integration of newly arrived families – is a cause close to my heart.”
