Whether it’s a dual-scheme course, training to gain a specific qualification or an internship – school students have a wide range of options when they join us at Truma.
We see training as a process of learning and discovering. As a trainee you’ll go through all our departments – though each person with a different emphasis – and receive comprehensive insights into our company. The family-like environment, helpful colleagues and manageable structures will make it easier for you to start your career. You’ll be supported and looked after by a team of instructors who will always have an open ear for your questions and concerns. Our aim is to offer you an exciting and varied training place and to whet your appetite for more. Once our trainees are qualified, we take over as many as possible into regular employment. Show us what’s in you.

On Girls' Day, a nationwide program, schoolgirls learn about apprenticeships in the IT, craftsmanship and engineering sectors. The goal is to encourage girls to opt for technical professions and overcome their aversion to 'boys' jobs'.
Truma takes part in Girls' Day every two years. Girls of 14 years of age and over see the theoretical and practical side of various technical professional in our company and learn how interesting they are. You also have the opportunity to try out soldering or milling and talk to women who work in these technical professions. You are given valuable tips on how to apply and can forge initial contact to our company. Our apprentices are responsible for organising the Girls‘ Day at Truma. This means that you get first hand information and can ask these girls and boys, who are just a few years older than yourself, whatever you want.
By the way, boys can also use this nationwide day to actively examine their own personal career and future goals in programs and workshops offered at all schools.
On a school work placement you have the opportunity to get to know our company and experience what happens on a daily basis in the technical and commercial departments. Depending on the area or profession you are interested in, we will choose the right work placement for you. And of course, you will not just be watching, you will have your own small tasks to get on with. After completing the work placement, we will give you a certificate for your documents or your school. We look forward to receiving your application!
Requirements: A covering letter detailing the areas or professions you are interested in, and when you would like to compete the work placement, CV, copy of last school report, any certificates of other work placements or voluntary work
More excitement, more variety, more hands-on: We offer school classes the opportunity to visit our company and, on a tour of the company, we show you what goes on behind the scenes at Truma.
