Making a charitable donation instead of giving Christmas gifts has a long tradition at Truma. Rather than sending gifts to customers and business partners, once again this year the company is making a donation of 10,000 euros – this time to the Salberghaus children’s home in Putzbrunn, Munich. The facility offers children aged from two weeks to ten years old and their families help, funding and support with in-patient, day-care and out-patient care. There are currently 63 children being cared for at the home and 27 at the pre-school curative day-care centre.

The Salberghaus is using the money to finance projects like a kid’s farm holiday, and also to invest in diagnostic procedures to support the children, some of whom have severe learning disabilities and are traumatised. “Our Christmas donation allows us to fulfil our aim of supporting facilities on our own doorstep and enabling them to carry out projects and make investments that otherwise wouldn’t be possible,” explains managing director Robert Strauß.
