Successful exhibition for Truma in the USA

A great exhibition for Truma in the USA: in December 2014 Truma presented itself and its products at the National RV Trade Show in Louisville, Kentucky. This trade fair is one of the largest and most important events in the industry in North America. The focus of the exhibition booth was a new product that Truma had specially designed to meet the requirements of the North American market: the Truma AquaGoTM. “In a large-scale customer survey, we established that the campers missed the warm water comfort they know from home when using existing boilers and instant water heaters," explains Gerhard Hundsberger, CEO of Truma Corp. The Truma AquaGoTM fulfils these needs precisely: it supplies an immediate and unlimited supply of warm water with minimal temperature fluctuations. Thanks to its 17.6 kW propane-operated burner, the Truma AquaGoTM is the most high-performing instant water heater available on the market. A patent pending 'temperature stabilizer' ensures that the water remains at a constant 49 °C.
John Draheim, CEO of Fleetwood, one of the most reputed manufacturers in North America, came to see the benefits of this new product himself and took an extensive public shower at the Truma booth. In return, Truma donated 5,000 $ to a charity organization. This event caused a huge stir in the industry and a media frenzy! The Truma Combi heater was also the subject of great interest at the exhibition in Louisville because combined warm air and warm water devices are as yet unknown in North America. "We modified the Combi to the special needs and regulations of the North American market and had it approved," says Hundsberger. But that's not all. Truma also made a name for itself in the industry with another event: the company invited customers, business partners and journalists to a typical German Christmas market. To do this, Truma turned its entire booth into a wintery Christmas scene, including stalls, mulled wine, lebkuchen (German gingerbread), cups and blue Christmas hats. The guests loved it!
The exhibition was a resounding success for Truma. "The interest in the newcomer 'Truma', our innovative products and the 'made in Germany' quality, was enormous," says a satisfied Gerhard Hundsberger. Truma started operations in the USA last year and founded the subsidiary Truma Corp. in Elkart, Indiana, in August 2013. "We want to gain a foothold in North America and make use of the growth opportunities presented by the world's largest caravanning market".
Elkhart, which is home to many reputed vehicle manufacturers and dealers, is the centre of the American caravanning industry. "We are right in the middle of things and very close to our customers." Six employees are responsible for sales, marketing, service and business development at Truma Corp.
