Renate Schimmer-Wottrich has been awarded the "CTJ Meilenstein 2018" prize at the Reise + Camping trade fair in Essen. With this award, the German Association of Caravanning and Tourism Journalists marked the Truma owner’s life’s work. Founded in 1949 by her father Philipp Kreis, Renate Schimmer-Wottrich led the company through the last three decades and continues to shape it today as the chair of the advisory board. In this period, she transformed Truma into a leading international specialist for accessories. She placed particular importance on customer focus, innovative products, employee well-being and a sustainable long-term orientation for the company.

"I am delighted with this honour, as it is awarded by experienced industry journalists who know our company very well and who use our products themselves. As pleased as I am to see my own work recognised and valued, I would also like to dedicate this award to the staff at Truma", said Renate Schimmer-Wottrich.

Alexander Wottrich accepted the award on his mother’s behalf at the Essen exhibition centre. After becoming Technical Managing Director at Truma in January 2018, he is now successfully leading the company into its third generation.
