Why are the packages marked with warning notes/symbols?
It is Truma’s policy to take a responsible and honest approach when dealing with our customers. Therefore, we are committed to entering an open dialogue with them. With this in mind, it is important for us to communicate openly where information about the ingredients used in our products and how they should be used, as well as what to do in an emergency, is concerned. Example: "In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with water and seek medical advice".
How are products identified?
With AquaStar we have struck a perfect balance between effectiveness and safety for the environment and your health.
AquaStar 1&2, which are very effective in removing limescale, biofilm and bacteria from your drinking water system, are marked with an “irritant” warning. Despite this, if used properly, the products are environmentally friendly and pose no risk to health. (1) Firstly, the products are flushed out of the system at the end of their application time (citric acid, sliver); (2) secondly, during application, the highly effective ingredients (peroxide) decompose into harmless oxidation products such as water and oxygen.
The product added directly to the drinking water and remaining in it is the AquaStar 3 water descaler/preserver. It is not subject to marking. It relies on active oxygen and silver ions for its effect. As such, the chlorine-free AquaStar 3 is environment
