Which battery do I need to operate the Truma Mover® manoeuvring system?
We generally recommend what are known as drive or lighting batteries to operate the system. These can be gel batteries, for example, and AGM batteries with round cell technology.
Can I install the Truma Mover® myself?
In principle, you can install the Truma Mover® manoeuvring system by following the installation instructions. However, we recommend that you have the Truma Mover® installed by a manoeuvring system specialist. We would be happy to help you find a manoeuvring system specialist in your local area - please call us on +49 (0) 89 4617-2142. Alternatively, you can search for one on our homepage.
Is it possible to upgrade a manual engagement Mover® to an electrical engagement Mover®?
Unfortunately no, this is not possible.
Why do you recommend installation in front of the vehicle axle?
To more effectively protect the Mover® against spray from the caravan wheels.
However, in principle, the Mover® manoeuvring system can be installed both in front of and behind the vehicle axle.

Do I have to charge the battery when the Mover® is not in use over the winter or even remove it from the vehicle?
We recommend removing the battery from the vehicle and then proceeding as follows:
- Lead batteries must always be stored fully charged.
- Batteries must be charged in a cool, dry place (too high a temperature can cause more damage to fully charged batteries than too low a temperature).
- The battery charge must be topped up every 2 months (24-hour charging).
