Cold air distribution

For optimum cooling: Requirement-oriented cold air distribution.

For optimum cooling efficiency, Truma recommends:
  • install the air nozzles in the upper part of the vehicle (e.g. between the stowage compartments)
  • use no more than 15 m of cold air duct for whole cold air distribution
  • route cold air ducts to air outlet nozzles as short and straight as possible
  • in order to prevent condensation, do not route cold air ducts near heat sources (e.g. behind refrigerator)
  • in order to provide a problem-free exchange of air, the circulating air must be drawn in from the vehicle interior in close proximity to the unit, either through an additional air grate or several small openings with a total area of at least 300 cm²
The optimum compact solution
The cold air ducts cannot be routed in the best possible way if space is at a premium.
The air conditioning effect is less efficient if there is so little space for cold air distribution that some or all of the cold air can only flow out in the lower part of the vehicle.
