Truma is developing a fuel cell system that is specifically for the recreational vehicle area. With a view to the environment and efficient usage, we have put our faith in liquid gas as a fuel supply.
With the new VeGA LPG-powered fuel cell system, not only Truma but also our suppliers are breaking new ground, technically speaking. We have to create a solid basis first and this requires, as all innovative techniques, a lot of research and development work and of course testing.
We therefore decided to carry out a second detailed field test in 2009 with our VeGA appliances, even though they are already to the standard required for serial production. The final findings of this second test will be used to further perfect our fuel cell system.
New technologies take their time and in order to offer the best quality to our customers, which is tradition at Truma, the VeGA fuel cell system will only be available at the dealers in autumn 2010. The latest developments and technical data are regularly updated on this webpage.
You can see a working sample of the VeGA at the Truma stand at the Caravan Salon 2008 in Düsseldorf.
Here you can see the provisional technical data:*
Output: max. 250 watt (max. 6000 watt-hours per day)
