Like its predecessor model, the new Combi motor home heater is a clever combination of two units, namely a 10 litre hot water boiler and a hot air heater.
The unit still has the well-tried heating power levels of 4 kW and 6 kW, in spite of having a smaller format. An electric heating element is still available for providing an additional heating facility. Four different models (Combi 4, Combi 6, Combi 4 E and Combi 6 E) provide a supply of heat that is ideally adapted to the respective motor home.
Gas, electric or mixed operation (gas and electric combined) can be optionally selected via a separate control panel.
Equal priority was given to efficiency and economy in the development of the new Combi motor home heater. The new heater heats the water from 16° C to 60° C in just 20 minutes. The unit can heat the living area and the water at the same time in winter mode or just the water in summer mode, of course.
At 14.5 kg the new heater is 15 % lighter than its predecessor model, and is even quieter because of the optimised air technology. The compact “Combi’s” can be installed in extremely small stowage compartments such as seat benches, wardrobes and bed boxes. Easily accessible connecting points also make the Truma Combi child’s play to install.
Extremely sensitive temperature control is possible because of the new microprocessor technology. This intelligent system ensures that there is an atmosphere of well-being, whatever the weather. A fault memory assists service engineers when maintenance is required.
Winter camping has been made even more comfortable by the new autonomous FrostControl drain valve from Truma. Be it the risk of frost or overpressure – FrostControl monitors the operating status and drains the water tank automatically when necessary. The innovative design means that the pressure relief valve is operated completely currentless for the first time.
The new Truma Combi is being exhibited for caravanners and motor home owners at the Caravan Salon exhibition in Düsseldorf
in August 2007.
