Truma Geraetetechnik GmbH & Co. KG has decided to maintain the operational safety of its Trumatic C heater model by modifying heaters that were manufactured at certain times. The Trumatic C heater model has been operating reliably in many motor homes for many years.
The reason for the modification is potential component overheating.
The problem may affect C heaters in the CEH model series (with auxiliary electric heater) in vehicles registered from December 2004 onwards and all other C heater model series in vehicles registered from October 2005 onwards.
In the interest of customer safety, Truma has taken suitable measures to notify affected vehicle owners about the potential (although improbable) risk of overheating, and ask them not to use the heater again until the modification has been made. A considerable number of specially qualified Truma employees and Truma service locations throughout Europe will retrofit a factory-prepared conversion kit to the potentially affected heaters.
This measure will reliably remedy the potential problem in the long term.
The modification is being made in close collaboration with vehicle manufacturers, their dealers and their hire companies throughout Europe.
