The new Saphir vario provides a wide range of facilities for comfortable and independent travelling comfort.
This air conditioning unit can be operated using the 230 V mains power supply or the 12 V on-board battery / alternator. The optionally available Truma TG 1000 sinus power inverter makes the Saphir vario independent of the 230 V power supply. The trick is: the system automatically detects whether 230 V is present in order to protect the battery.
With three power settings (600 W, 1500 W and 2000 W) the new air conditioning unit is also extremely versatile. The system provides pleasant cooling, even at the lowest setting. This is particularly beneficial during the night, since the system operates extremely quietly. There is another benefit to the 1500 Watt setting, because many southern-based camp sites often have little fuse protection. The current consumption when this setting is used is a mere 3 A.
As well as operating quietly, the Saphir vario is impressive weight-wise because of the blue EPP housing. Weighing in at a mere 27 kg, it is by far the lightest air conditioning unit in this performance class.
Installation has also become easier compared to other air conditioning units in the same product range. Because of its slimline design (just 20 cm in height) it will fit in the false floor of the majority of motor homes. The user therefore saves space, and the lower centre of gravity has a
positive effect on handling.
