The new Saphir compact air conditioning unit will supersede the previous Frostair 1700 air conditioning unit.
With cooling power of 1700 Watts, the new air conditioning unit is suitable for recreational vehicles up to 5.5 m in length. Compared to the previous model, the new Saphir compact can be operated independently in combination with the optionally available Truma TG 1000 sinus power inverter. This means that cooling can also take place on the move.
The special Truma EPP housing has significantly reduced the weight of the unit and the amount of noise that is generated during operation. Weighing in at a mere 20 kg, the Saphir compact is unique among compressor systems in its performance class in Europe.
The “Sleep Mode” setting is a particularly enjoyable feature. The evaporator and condenser fans run at reduced speed in this mode, and the feeling of comfort is increased due to extremely quiet running and draught-free cooling.
A relief for people suffering from allergies: The Saphir compact is equipped with an efficient pollen and dust filter, as are all the other Saphir comfort air conditioning units.
Low power consumption of just 2.8 Amps means that the unit can be used on camp sites with weak fuse protection without problems.
The new Saphir compact air conditioning unit will be exhibited at the Caravan Salon trade fair in Düsseldorf in August 2006, and will be available from specialist dealers from 1st January 2007.
