Truma – More comfort on the move
In 1949, the same year that the Federal Republic of Germany was born, Philipp Kreis laid the foundations for our own success story. Since then, Truma has grown from a small manufacturer of gas lights to an organisation which is active all over the world and whose success is testified to by various subsidiaries and a total of approximately 600 employees, not to mention numerous satisfied customers in more than 30 countries.
To this day, Truma remains a medium-sized operation under family ownership. The company bases its design, production and distribution resources at its headquarters in Putzbrunn, near Munich in Germany, where tradition merges with innovation.
Every camper in Europe is familiar with the Truma brand. After all, by inventing the “first officially recognised caravan heating system” in the early 1960s, we were the company who made camping during the winter months possible for the very first time
Today, Truma's product range takes in everything from heating and air conditioning systems and water heaters to manoeuvring systems for caravans, with gas pressure regulator equipment and power supply products completing the portfolio. Truma regularly tops annual polls carried out by specialist publications to find the best accessory brand.
The search for innovative solutions for comfort on the move continues. Many Truma employees are themselves enthusiastic campers, not only designing but also using the company's products. It is precisely this passion and ability to identify that makes the Truma brand so successful and explains why the future looks so bright.
